A Journey Through the Event Industry: Jamie's Story
Hello everyone! Jamie here, founder of Foothill Fresh, and I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about my career journey and industry involvement over the past 20+ years. It’s been a whirlwind of excitement, growth, and unforgettable experiences.
Starting Out in the Entertainment World
My journey in the event entertainment industry began straight out of college. With a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration from CSU, Chico, and additional credentials in Tourism & Geography, I was well-prepared to dive headfirst into this vibrant field. The thrill of crafting unique and memorable experiences for clients was something I knew I wanted to be a part of from the very beginning.
My first position was a PA at a national corporate agency, AEC, owned by Gig Xifaras and Rae Martin, eventually becoming an agent and getting a PA of my own. AEC was bought by Innovative Entertainment in 2013, where I transitioned and grew to a new phase of my career. I am proud to still hold position with IE. ❤️
Leadership and Industry Involvement
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of holding various leadership positions that have allowed me to contribute to and shape the industry. As a Past President for ILEA Los Angeles, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of collaboration and innovation in the event industry. Additionally, my service on several boards of directors, including ILEA Northern California, ILEA Los Angeles, and the SEARCH Foundation, has been incredibly rewarding. I also serve my local community and spend lots of time volunteering and giving back (via NCLVCJ).

I was named one of the 2022 #WomenToWatch, by Courtney Stanley.
In 2017, I was honored to be recognized by Special Events Magazine as one of the '25 Young Event Pros To Watch.' This acknowledgment was a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my career. It’s always exciting to be recognized by peers and industry leaders, and it further motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in event planning.
